If you plan to BUILD A HOME, you MUST GET OUT THERE! WORKSHOPS for families, or just a DAY-TRIP, it’s a MUST SEE: open house gig every first Saturday of every month: 90-ish min. drive from L.A. or Orange County, CA.. very casual, kid-friendly… on the border of the L.A. & San Bernardino County lines…. private tours available on other days for a small fee…. incredible history!

Ireland calling to you?
Do you ever pray the 5 Directions? In ancient European cosmology there are 5 directions for prayer: east (air), south (fire), west (water), north (earth) and center (heart or spirit). Kimberly been praying with those five directions for decades. Since her return from western Ireland last summer, the landscape of that place lives in her mind and she calls upon it each morning as she prays, meditates and sets her intentions for the day. In the East, a rainbow over thatch cottages, and the clean air filling my lungs to remind me that the breath of my Source enlivens me… In the South, the sun breaking out of the clouds and warming my face, connecting me to the fire in the center of the earth, the fire in my head, the fire in my belly, the illusion of form dissolving in the cosmic flame… In the West, my eyes looking out from the cliffs on Dun Aengus at the wild Atlantic sea, the blood in my body connecting me with the circle of time…my eyes searching for what my heart knows: that the isle of Tir Na n’Og and my ancestors dance in the misty horizon… In the North, the energy centers of my feet reaching deeply into the limestone of The Burren landscape, feeling the energy of God moving through the earth that is my body, dissolving the illusion of duality… In the Center, Spirit flowing through me, dissolving the illusion of ego control, opening my heart, which is connected to The Heart of The World.

and the hot springs in REYKJAVIK are incredible, and the country of ICELAND has a history unknown & forgotten by the western world from which owes it much: Aviation & Democracy: they were the first! (minimize your time at the airport though, whew, do they love their tobacco!)

… and so it was that Leif Ericson left his beloved Iceland, born there after his outlaw Father left Norway, to hit North America some 500 yrs. before the famous Spanish Fleet, but he’d be proud today to see what the Norse artist/sculptor Gustav Vigeland graciously did for the city of OSLO in 1924: Vigeland Sculpture Park, or Frogner Park … and then our modern times produced the infamous “ole master” painter fav of mine, however eccentric, who left behind his personal hindrances of social-professional-celebrity-politics in Oslo, to retreat to Iceland, mostly… Odd Nerdrum: he mentored a huge populous of serious painters in his private “school” before his departure from Oslo’s artistic limelight, so i have to seek their works out, to show you, too.
